The First Time We Spoke:

Terry House Gallery, 2006

On the first anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, a group of displaced youth stepped into the Terry House Gallery in Little Rock, Arkansas—and into history.

It was here that Youth Stop Inc. and its young participants first shared their stories through photography and reflection, giving voice to the heartbreak, resilience, and hope born from the storm.

That exhibit was more than art—it was testimony.
Now, 20 years later, Beyond the Storm – A Look Back continues that journey, reuniting those same voices to show where life has taken them since.

Their stories began with survival.
Their truth is still unfolding.
And it started at Terry House.
